IFK Norrköping broke the negative trend

On Monday IFK Norrköping chased down the first win since mid-August against second-placed Kalmar FF at Guldfågeln Arena in Småland. This without, among others, Sead Haksabanovic, who was left out of the party’s squad due to illness.

Therefore, Beijing lined up with the same offense as last time against Östersund and came close to celebrating a goal lead early on. Isak Bergmann Johannesson had a good run in the penalty area, but Simon Thern managed to save him with an incredible reaction save. A little later, Jonathan Levi was also close to 1-0, but saved Söderberg again.

Bergmann Johannesson and Levi, however, would take revenge for their mistakes. In the 28th minute, Levi played Bergmann Johannesson in the penalty area to 1-0 and went ahead. Just before the break, Norrköping also rose to 2-0 via another header, this time from Christoffer Nyman, who was able to celebrate his 11th Allsvenskan hit this year. The first half also stood out.

Kalmar FF threatened a bit later in the second half, but without conceding a reduction goal. Norrköping, on the other hand, controlled the match for a 2-0 win and is therefore now in fourth place in the Allsvenskan. KFF, in turn, remains in position 15.

– It was a great team effort today with a great work ethic on the field. We also got a zero with us, this was wonderfully enjoyable, Beijing midfielder Alexander Fransson tells Dplay and continues:

– I don’t know how many matches are left, but it’s just to take one match at a time and not keep track of the table. It may seem like a cliché, but that is our approach and we must relate to it.

KFF captain Viktor Elm was disappointed afterwards.

– It was not very good, and we created chances that were also quite good, which we have to score. However, we went a little wrong and did some things wrong, Elm tells Dplay and continues:

– We focused too much and in their attacking game they could get up too easily around the edges. When we switched into others, it got a bit better and they really didn’t have much of it until we started to sacrifice a bit to move forward. I think we made a little wrong choice in the first half, KFF captain Viktor Elm tells Dplay.

Startelvor:

Kalmar FF: Söderberg – Bergqvist, Elm, Aliti – Johansson, Jansson, Israelsson, Romario, Ring – Crona, Sachpekidis.

IFK Norrköping: Pettersson – Wahlqvist, Lauritsen, Dagerstål, Gerson – Fransson, Smith, Thern – Levi, Nyman, Bergmann Johannesson.
