Iceland.
It became the winning country when Sweden submitted its twelfth in the Eurovision copy.
– The fact that Sweden likes my song means a lot, says Dadde Freyr to Aftonbladet.
This year there was no Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, but Sweden still distributed its points for this year’s contribution on “The 12 of Sweden”.
After the viewers voted on the food and the jury, which consisted of Daughter, Charlotte Perrelli, Eric Saade, Fredrik Kempe and Lina Hedlund, said that its winner was Iceland with the contribution “Think about things”, presented by Dad Freyr and Data Magnet.
“Know how crazy you are in the competition”
Aftonbladet spoke to Dadde Freyr, 28, on the phone Thursday night, just before the show.
A few hours later, it was clear that Iceland would have received the highest score from the Swedish people, had the final been lost in Rotterdam.
– I know you will have that program tonight, I was and saw the final of the Melodifestivalen in Sweden, so I know how crazy you are in the competition. Of course, it would mean a lot if I “won”, you are experts in Eurovision. That Sweden likes my song means a lot, says Dadde Freyr.

Iceland’s dad and data magnet won the “12th in Sweden”.
– Now everything is a little up and down, but I will do a tour at the end of the year and then I will play in Stockholm and Gothenburg. You were one of the first countries that caught the attention of the song, continues.
“Finished”
Dadde Freyr says there are plans for a release in the United States, but that the door is definitely closed for future Melodifestivels:
– I finished the Icelandic competition, I already participated twice. It’s a lot of fun, but it also means a lot of work, ”he says.
The Swedish Melodifestivalen then? Would you like to put it on it?
– No … I don’t think it’s that much appreciated at home in Iceland.
Contributions from 25 countries competed on the evening’s live broadcast SVT program.
With the victory in “The 12th of Sweden”, Iceland has received an invitation to act as an intermediate act in Melodifestivalen 2021.
