“I thought I would never see my daughter again if I resisted”
Anton was out for a night walk when two people pretending to be civil police officers contacted an assault that took place at the scene. But everything turned out to be false. Instead, Anton was forced to hand over his credit card and mobile phone. The robbery is one of a series of similar acts that have recently affected young men in central Malmö.
“I’m glad I got away with it without injury. But I want to be able to go out for a walk at night without having to think before: where am I going and if I risk meeting these people again,” says Anton.
The father of young children, Anton, whose real name is another, had just spent the night with his daughter when he decided to take a walk. The afternoon was late summer and his plan was to walk down a path where he had not walked before.
