Tonight at 8:00 p.m. the album will be released between Sweden and the Czech Republic on JVM.
Junior crowns took bronze in the Czech Republic a year ago and now the focus is on gold in Edmonton.
As usual, there’s a big focus on Alexander Holtz and Lucas Raymond, and in the last press conference of the night before the premiere, Raymond was asked how similar they are to each other off the ice.
– I would say that there are some similarities, but we are also different in our ways. But I would definitely say there are similarities and we like to hang out, says Raymond.
Assistant Captain Victor Söderström:
– It’s fine as Lucas says, there are similarities and they both like to joke and laugh and sometimes you realize that they are a year younger.

Despite their age, Raymond and Holtz will be the offensive engine of the Swedish team JVM.
– It will be different this year. The biggest difference is a bigger role and more responsibility, but personally, more responsibility makes me play better too. So as a team we have a very good opportunity and we have all the parts and it is important that we do it together, says Raymond.
Last year Nils Höglander was one of the most notable players in the tournament and immediately at the premiere he scored with a goal from the fox against Finland, which was repeated over and over again during the weeks in the Czech Republic.
Can we see something similar this year?
– If I had to say someone, I would say “Ray” or Holmström (Simon), says Noel Gunler.
– I want to add that I absolutely cannot “Bitch” so there is nothing you can hope for. Maybe not against the Czech Republic, but another practice and I’ll put it on later, says Raymond with a twinkle in his eye.
While Raymond and Holtz are expected to lead the Swedish youth national team, Canada has lost its big star just before the championship.
In a training game against Russia the day before Christmas Eve, team captain Kirby Dach was injured so badly that he is also said to miss the start of the NHL season.
– Of course, it is sad even if we compete against each other and we want to win, it is sad when a player is injured. He is one of the best JVM players who can’t play and will obviously affect Canada, but how remains to be seen. It’s an extremely hard pause for them, says Raymond.

To handle the daily press at SHL and now during JVM, Alexander Holtz addresses the family.
– I have not had big setbacks, outside of hockey it was probably when my dog died because I had him throughout my upbringing.
– I take it as it comes and I talk a lot with my parents. I usually go out for walks with my mother where we talk about problems that can come up in everyday life, so it is probably my mother who is my personal trainer, says Holtz.
