A high school class was quarantined Thursday after several cases of contagion were discovered that arose from a party where the young people participated.
– It was a private party that we got to know through infection tracking that we helped the Halland Region with. We have four confirmed cases of covid-19, two of which are already healthy, says Cynthia Runefjärd, principal of the secondary school in Kungsbacka, to P4 Halland.
She explains to the radio that there may be more people who have been to the party in question, and that they may be students who were there and who have had time to meet others.
“You don’t have to have a party”
This is why students stay home for a few days. On Thursday, the government announced that all upper secondary schools in the country will conduct distance education starting Monday.
Cynthia Runefjärd believes that what has happened is universal and believes that parents must also take responsibility.
– You can check out our campaign in Kungsbacka Township which actually goes to “Do you have to?” and we know you don’t need to have a party. I think it’s a big responsibility for young adults, but also for their parents, that there are no parties, he tells P4 Halland.
