Professional groups want to lead the vaccine line
The public health authority has been clear about who should get the vaccine first. These are the elderly and healthcare personnel, followed by those in the risk group and then the general public.
But at the same time, unions are fighting for their members to have priority in vaccinating against covid-19. Teachers were the first to leave, and now Kommunal also demands that, among other things, priority be given to bus drivers.
– The vaccine should not be distributed according to the credits of higher education, Tobias Baudin, president of the Kommunal union, tells TT.

The highest daily figure ever recorded in Sweden
On Thursday, 7,935 new corona cases were recorded in Sweden. It is the highest figure ever recorded in the country, according to the Reuters news agency.
The previous peak occurred on November 20, when 7,240 daily cases were reported.

New curfew in France
France reintroduces curfews as of December 15. This is to reduce the spread of infection, writes AFP.
The curfew will apply from 8 pm at night, including on New Year’s Eve. However, an exception will be made on Christmas Eve, Prime Minister Jean Castex announced on Twitter.
Anyone who violates the curfew without just cause risks a fine of 135 euros, corresponding to about 1,400 crowns.
