Stefan Löfven: The regions have the responsibility
Prime Minister Stefan Löfven tells DN that it is the regions that are responsible for the nursing homes not receiving the care they are entitled to in the crown crisis.
– There is no doubt about it. I think it is very strange that there can be an argument. It is clear in the law who is responsible for what. Ivo is very clear about it, and it is because the law is as it is, he tells the newspaper.
The announcement comes after IVO’s review of nursing homes. He noted serious deficiencies in the care of patients with coronary heart disease in 98 nursing homes in the country.
New Corona Council: Healthy Children Should Stay Home
Younger children should also stay home and not go to school and preschool if someone in the family has covid. It is the new advice that goes into effect today.
Education Minister Anna Ekström (S) says healthy children should be able to receive distance education and homework while at home.
– The change aims to create peace and tranquility, and allow attention to focus on pedagogical work in the school, says Britta Björkholm, department head of the Public Health Agency, in a press release.
Denmark strengthens advice: increases R number
Denmark is strengthening councils in 17 municipalities in the capital Copenhagen. The reason is that the spread rate is higher there than elsewhere, reports TV2.
The national R number has also increased in Denmark recently, from 1.0 to 1.1.
Danish Health Minister Magnus Heunicke announced today at a press conference that the infection is increasing especially among young people between the ages of 15 and 25. He urged people to limit collections to a maximum of ten people and to get tested for COVID-19 before Christmas.
