Stair explosion in Uppsala

Just before 06 o’clock on Saturday morning, the police were alerted to an explosion at Murargatan in Uppsala.

No person should have been injured according to the police.

– But there has been material damage in the stairwell, how extensive I do not know, says Magnus Jansson Klarin, spokesman for the Mitt police region.

At present, it is not clear what caused the explosion, but police have launched a preliminary investigation into the general destruction.

Biden can name Clinton as UN ambassador.

A Washington Post source claims that Joe Biden plans to appoint Hillary Clinton as a UN ambassador after she takes office in the White House next year.

The idea is that Clinton’s appointment will partly highlight the importance of the ambassadorial position and partly increase the prestige of the UN, according to the source.

Hillary Clinton announced as early as August that she is ready for a position in a possible Biden administration.

“I’m ready to help out in any way I can,” Clinton was quoted as saying by The Sun.
