On Tuesday night the Soccer Gala will be held in digital format on TV4 through the program “Year of Soccer 2020” and the channel began with the transmission of the first half of the program on the web.
Then it became a technical error that allowed viewers to scroll through the pre-recorded show and get more prizes right away. Among other things, that Zlatan Ibrahimovic received the award for striker of the year on the male side.
– It is done in two parts and since the situation is how the world is with this pandemic, we had to record the program before. That part came out as a full clip instead of going “live”. It was simply a technical error, says TV4 sports director Erik Westberg.
Technical failure during the 2020 Football Year
Westberg continues:
– When you have recorded it beforehand, you can arrange it so that it cannot be rewound and played back as a complete clip. It was completed incorrectly quite simply.
Was that the human factor?
– Yes, that was the human factor. It was nothing more than that.
