In the film, in which Expressen participated, Darko Mamkovic is seen sitting on a sofa. Music is playing in the background and on the table in front of him are bottles of energy drinks and a hookah, but also a white powder that several people in SD say is cocaine. Mamkovic leans into the dust on the table twice with a tube rolled up to his nose.
Sources tell Expressen that the information that Mamkovic is taking drugs has been discussed in the SD Norrköping municipal association. There is great fear that the party’s work in the municipality will be made public and destroyed, without forgetting the prospects for collaborations with other parties in the municipality.
More problematic is that Mamkovic is now the party’s strongman in Norrköping as an opposition councilor. In addition, he is a member of the Östergötland regional board and president of the SD Norrköping municipal association.
The municipal association of Mamkovic, SD Norrköping, has been characterized for several years by internal conflicts, conflicts that also reached the party district SD Östergötland. The party has been dragged into the municipality with several desertions and political savages.
Mamkovic: “I don’t know who you are”
Expressen meets Darko Mamkovic. We introduce ourselves and then we show him the movie. When you get questions about it, you say you should call the police:
– You know what, when people ring my doorbell I don’t know, I don’t know who you are, I see a camera and stuff. When you do that, and when I ask you to leave, I consider it a threat and you do something called a domestic disturbance. If you don’t leave the door right now, I’ll have to call the police.
I want you to drink and comment that you see how you smell cocaine in this movie.
– Now I’m calling the police to take it with you, says Mamkovic.
Jan Svensson is President of SD Östergötland. He says the film with Mamkovic is “continuous management” on the part of the party.
– I refer everything to the national (the national organization of the Swedish Democrats, editor’s note) that takes care of this, says Svensson.
Jomshof: investigating if it’s true
Richard Jomshof is the party secretary of the Swedish Democrats. He writes in a comment, broadcast through the party’s press department:
“The party is analyzing whether the information is correct or not. Of course, we take this very seriously and it is important that it be resolved in detail. Of course, drug abuse is not something that the party accepts.
We have offered you help and asked you to be absent due to illness. If you happen to have an addiction, we assume you become receptive to the addiction care that we provide from the party. “
After the interviews, the SD press department listens to a comment from Darko Mamkovic:
“I don’t do drugs, it was a one-time mistake when I was drunk at a private party, where it turned out that the person who gave me substance was seeking to obtain compromising material against me for extortion purposes.
I have had recurrent ejaculation syndrome for quite a long period which has resulted in increased alcohol consumption without me realizing it in time, however, I sought help a while ago and therefore am on sick leave.
I have informed the party of my status. Drugs are harmful and addiction is something that can affect anyone ”.
Sweden’s Democrats are behind a restrictive drug policy. Among other things, the party wants to see “Mandatory Drug Testing and Expanded School Healthcare” be able to detect risk behaviors in young people, but also that society must “Marking against drugs to a greater extent than today”.
The party has presented motions in the Riksdag for the scale of sanctions for drug offenses “Sharp sharpened” and that in cases where drug-related offenses lead to deportation, it will be for life. The party also wants to introduce so-called visiting areas to facilitate access, among other things, to the sale of drugs in high crime areas. In several letters to the Riksdag, the party points out the link between drugs and organized crime.
After meeting with Darko Mamkovic, Expressen reached out to him again, by phone and by email.
SD Norrköping municipality problem
* SD Norrköping has for several years been plagued by infected internal disputes that led to desertions and political savages.
* In 2016, Expressen was able to reveal the dispute between SD MPs Markus Wiechel and Olle Felten, both active in Norrköping. The two had hired loyal party comrades to gather material against each other, material that was later sent higher up the party hierarchy to demean the opponent. Felten has left the Riksdag and the party today, and Wiechel has left local politics but remains in the Riksdag.
* In 2018, Expressen was able to reveal an internal party report in which Markus Wiechel during a meeting with fellow party members in Norrköping in 2012 had called an older woman a deeply derogatory gender word. He rejected the accusation with the explanation that there was “an extensive conflict in the Östgöta district”.
* SD Norrköping received attention in February this year after reporting the Norrköping City Museum to the police. The police report referred to the museum exhibition “Companions and Resistance: Nazism in Norrköping then and now”, which contained an article on the Swedish democrats from the 2018 election campaign. Among other things, it used the Nazi salute “hell seger “, a Swedish variant of” sieg heil “.
