The ice hockey world has long speculated on what the future goalkeeping career will be like for Henrik Lundqvist.
At 38, he has been restricted with games in the New York Rangers and many want to see him reunite with his twin brother Joel Lundqvist, who is the captain and center in Frölunda.
Since the crown eruption, Henrik Lundqvist and the family have been at home in the Gothenburg department and at home on the west coast.
“Know where we have each other”
During Monday, Henrik Lundqvist performed at the Frölunda training at the Frölundaborg training facility on the outskirts of Slottsskogen.
On ice, the goalkeeper records with the Rangers sweatshirt and his famous Manhattan-inspired goalie protection.

– The feeling is that it’s starting to get closer for NHL to start somehow again, so “Henke” has wanted to start keeping up the pace somehow. On the premises there are NHL players such as Carl Klingberg, Alexander Edler, Lias Andersson … yes, everyone you can imagine … and train in different ways. We and “Henke” keep in touch and we know where we are, he still belongs to the New York Rangers, says Fredrik Sjöström.
Henrik Lundqvist has made 15 consecutive seasons with the New York Rangers and also has contracts for next season.

“He never closed any door”
Sportbladet recently spoke to Henrik Lundqvist and Joel Lundqvist about a meeting in Frölunda.
– Hehe, I understand that Joel has many questions about it. I’ve never closed any doors when it comes to this, but I still have NHL contracts and the plan is to start with that. So … yes, as I said, we will see what happens, says Henrik Lundqvist.
– If I can speak for myself, it would obviously be fun to play together at Frölunda, it would be great for the club and SHL, says Joel Lundqvist.
During this victory, Joel Lundqvist spent eleven seasons in a row at Frölunda and extended the contract last fall for the next season.
At Frölunda, the two goalkeepers Johan Mattsson and Niklas Rubin have a remaining season on the contract.
