Henrik Lundqvist has been for many years one of the best NHL goalkeepers.
But during this year’s NHL season, which is currently on hiatus due to the corona virus, Lundqvist has had a difficult time.
He has lost the place as the first goalkeeper of the young Russian Igor Sjestiorkin. Lundqvist has one year left with the New York Rangers, but what happens in the future is hidden.
– Nothing lasts forever. So you have an objective image and a dream, but you have to adapt to the environment and reality, he says.

In February, for the first time, Lundqvist took the stand for the first time during his NHL years.
When the NHL season stops, Henrik Lundqvist left New York and returned to Gothenburg with his family. At SVT, Luuk & Hallberg tells about his situation at the club he has represented since 2005.
– What I went through last winter was quite difficult. I am used to having a position where I know what applies. They knew exactly the conditions, and now things have changed quite a bit. He meditated daily, every hour for several weeks. It was quite difficult mentally, says Henrik Lundqvist.
Before the NHL season, Lundqvist stopped playing 30 games for the New York Rangers. When the season can be resumed is uncertain, but if played properly, the team should be able to meet for training camps in mid-May.
