Since the attack on French history professor Samuel Paty, who was beheaded in the street, at least ten people have been arrested. According to AFP, the French police have raided the homes of several suspected Islamist militants and a total of 231 people, identified by the intelligence service, will be deported.

Abdullakh Anzorov, who was shot and killed by the police with nine shots after the attack, lived about 80 km from Paris and one of the questions that the police are trying to answer is how he could identify the teacher.

The prosecutor has previously testified how the 18-year-old arrived at the school on Friday and asked the students to point out Paty.

Le Monde now reports that he is said to have arrived at the school with several hundred euros in his pocket and, in exchange for money, received information from the students about the teacher.

According to the newspaper, a 15-year-old student has been arrested by the police on suspicion of having provided information to the murderer. At present, however, there is no indication that the student had any idea of ​​the consequences of the information provided.

At the same time, the newspaper writes that the police are also working on the hypothesis that it may be an isolated violent crime.

Samuel Paty, 47, father of a five-year-old boy, is said to have displayed a photo of the Prophet Muhammad during a lesson a few days before Thanksgiving. The French interior minister said on Monday that a known Muslim militant and the father of a student had issued a fatwa against the teacher before the murder.
