Another candidate steps forward and says he wants to be a spokesperson for the Green Party after Isabella Lövin. Janine Alm Ericson, Member of Parliament for Alingsås and leader of the group, has decided to run for the position, writes GP.
– If you want someone to do the work, you must also be prepared to do it yourself. There is nothing that says it is an easy task, but if the party wants me, I am ready, she tells the newspaper.
Janine Alm Ericson has previously been an economic policy spokesperson and is now a group leader, as well as a gender equality and foreign policy spokesperson in the party.
Isabella Lövin will resign as spokesperson for the Green Party at the end of the year and her successor will be named at an additional congress in January 2021.
Earlier, Rebecka Le Moine, a spokesperson for the Biodiversity Party, and Annika Hirvonen, one of the party’s two group leaders and a spokesperson on migration and education issues, said they were running in the elections.
