It was in Härnösand in May that a party had an after party at the home of high school student Tommie Lindh, 19, in Härnösand. But the festivities turned into murders and rapes overnight.
23-year-old Abubaker Mohamad Awad, who came to the party through a friend, is suspected of forcing a guest to go to the bathroom and raping her under threat of a knife.
The woman later called Tommie Lindh and together they alerted the police.
Laughter: “I killed him.”
But in the meantime, Abubaker Moahamad Awad managed to attack and murder Tommie with his knife. The woman’s testimony about Awad’s actions afterwards:
– Then he laughs and says, uh, I killed him. And then he points the knife at me and tells me I can go. Because otherwise it will seem the same to me.
As Tommie Lindh died from knife wounds, the killer raped the woman again.
At 11 o’clock on Monday, the Ångermanland District Court announced its verdict: life imprisonment.
In a press release, the district court writes:
“The murder has been particularly vicious and has also meant great suffering for the deceased. The punishment will therefore be life imprisonment. “
Abubaker Mohamad Awad is originally from Sudan and immigrated to Sweden in 2005 with his parents. After high school, he tried to read his grades on Komvux but failed. Instead, he took a job at McDonalds, where he worked on the arrest.
He has previously been convicted of crimes on several occasions.
In 2016, he was sentenced to probation for sexual harassment. He was also convicted of shoplifting in 2016 and received a drug-related misdemeanor warrant in 2018.
