The Black Lives Matter demonstrations continue in the United States and there have been riots in Wisconsin for several nights. The night before Wednesday Swedish time, last week, in addition to the protesters, groups of armed people of flexible composition appeared who were said to want to protect society.
One of them was a 17-year-old Trump supporter who lives with his mother in a quiet apartment area in Antioquia. He is described as a person who regards the police as heroes.
Bar on semi-automatic weapon
The 17-year-old traveled more than three miles to Kenosha to, according to his own statement, protect local businessmen from being looted during the protests.
“Part of my job is to protect people and I have my rifle so I can protect myself,” he told the Daily Caller the same day.
But the riots stopped when the 17-year-old shot and killed two people with a semi-automatic weapon where parts of the course of events were captured on film.
It is not entirely clear what started the events, but it is said that several people were aggressive towards the 17-year-old.
Detained at home
It is said that a shot was fired from an unknown direction and the 17-year-old responded by shooting one of the people who had been aggressive.
The 17-year-old fled the scene and was later chased by several people who tried to stop him. He lost his balance, fell to the ground and then fired his gun again several times where another person died and another was injured.
He then walked towards the police cars with his arms raised, but was not detained despite people shouting that he had shot several people. Instead, the 17-year-old was arrested the next day at his home and will now be charged with two murders and one attempted murder. However, his lawyer claims that he acted in self-defense.
Posed with weapons
American media, including the Chicago Tribune, say the 17-year-old dropped out of high school two years ago and there were photos on social media of him holding a gun along with a Blue Lives Matter logo. Blue Lives Matter is a move against Black Lives Matter. After the arrest, his Facebook profile must have been deleted.
The 17-year-old will have already been tested in a volunteer job where he was allowed to accompany the police for a year. It is described as an initiative for people between 14 and 21 years old who aspire to become policemen.
Now the 17-year-old’s actions have become big politics in the United States, where Donald Trump defends him.
