A man in his 40s died after being trapped under a truck in Jönköping on Thursday.
The accident occurred in an industrial area. Police were alerted to the scene in the morning and were able to establish early on that the man had died from injuries sustained when he ended up under the truck for unknown reasons.
– It is very sad that the worst has happened, one person has died, says police spokesman Thomas Agnevik to Jönköpings-Posten.
The police have launched a preliminary investigation into causing the death of another person through a work accident and have cordoned off an area for a technical investigation.
The deceased is a man in his 40s, a resident of Jönköping and his closest relatives have been notified.
