Kamala Harris reportedly traveled on Sunday to continue campaigning for the presidential elections. But now the trip is canceled, when two people of the campaign staff of the Democrats tested positive for the coronavirus.
According to The Hill, this includes Harris staff communications manager Liz Allen.
Campaign Director Jen O’Malley Dillon writes in a statement that Kamala Harris has not taken the risk of infecting herself. He shouldn’t have been in close contact with Allen, but he has followed the current crown restrictions.
The message: “Overly careful”
The decision to cancel Sunday’s travel plans is described as a way of being “overly careful.”
– But she [Kamala Harris reds. anm] will maintain a robust and aggressive schedule of virtual campaign activities to reach voters across the country during this time, Jen O’Malley said in the statement, according to The Hill.
The statement does not mention the other person who fell ill with covid-19. However, the person must not have had any close contact with either Biden or Harris.
Kamala Harris tested negative for the viral illness last Wednesday. She will also be screened now on Thursday, writes The Hill.
