The debate behind Plexiglas began with the corona pandemic. Kamala Harris criticized the Republicans’ handling of the pandemic.
– The president said it was a scam. You reduced the risks. You still don’t have any plans today.
“Trump stopped flights from China”
But Mike Pence, who is leading the White House response to the pandemic, said it was not true:
– Trump did something that hardly anyone else did, that is, he stopped flights from China. I want the American people to know that President Trump has always made American health a priority.
– Obviously it didn’t work. 210,000 American lives have been lost and families are in mourning. The American people have witnessed the greatest failure of any presidential government in our history, Harris said.
The relationship with China was debated
Mike Pence blamed the corona virus on China, which also had a strong focus during the debate. Kamala Harris said “hundreds of thousands of jobs were lost” due to the trade war with China. Something that Pence replied like this:
– Did you lose the trade war against China? Biden never fought for it. Joe Biden has been an entertainer for Communist China in recent decades.
That’s where the debate ends. Definitely more factual issues now, more differences between candidates understood. I think both Pence and Harris are relatively happy and that a limited number of Americans are likely to switch sides after this much more enjoyable debate than the last.

“When I watch the news, all I see is disputes between Democrats and Republicans, between people. If our leaders don’t agree, how can we agree?”
“Don’t assume that what you see on your local news is synonymous with what America thinks,” Pence responds, recalling the close friendship between HD judges Antonin Scalia and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, despite differences of opinion.
“What made Joe run for office was precisely because he saw the hatred spread over the past four years,” says Kamala Harris, among other things.

My final thought is that this debate did not change anything. Harris didn’t make a reassuring impression, but he’s probably irrelevant overall.
I do not know the name
Pence is a skilled polemicist and expressed his views, because Harris is less experienced. In my opinion, Pence won by a small margin, but I don’t think it matters for the election result.
