Johan Harju, who was Luleå captain, returns to Swedish hockey.

But this time it will be a game in Mode.

The contract is valid first of all until the turn of the year.

Johan Harju has played almost 600 games in the SHL and has been captain and assistant captain during his eleven seasons in the Luleå first team.

The 34-year-old has also played two years at Brynäs, but when he is now ready to play in Sweden again, it’s all about Modo in allsvenskan hockey.

“Good shot”

– We are very happy that Johan Harju is joining the club. He is a very experienced player and with his size he can create situations both for himself and for his teammates. He also has a very good shot and can be used as both a center and outside forward, Modo’s sporting director Fredrik Glader says in a press release.

Ready to play immediately

It is unclear what happens after the contract expires at the turn of the year, but Modo announces that he will have an ongoing dialogue with Harju.

It connects immediately and is ready to play next week.

Harju, who has NHL experience, scored 17 points (10 + 7) in 48 games in the Czech league and Dynamo Pardubice last year.

Modo is eleventh in allsvenskan hockey with 24 points from 18 games.
