The bankrupt trustee has been unable to agree Hannah widell, 45, and Amanda schulman, 40, after the duo’s investment in hair salons went bankrupt. Therefore, they are now being sued by the millions in district court, Breakit writes.
The bankrupt trustee demands that the bankrupt company, named after Hannah & Amanda Fashion AB, repay a total of SEK 5 million plus interest, which must go to creditors with whom the company has debts.
Aftonbladet has read the lawsuit and the background to the court case is a settlement that was made just days before the salons were declared bankrupt. Another of Hannah Widell and Amanda Schulman’s group companies chose to buy the clothing business from the company, which was on the verge of bankruptcy.
Five million required
That deal was for SEK 6.1 million, but only SEK 1.1 million was paid in cash. The remainder of the sum, SEK 5 million, was offset by a debt that Hannah and Amanda Fashion AB previously owed to another company in the duo’s group.
These are the millions that bankruptcy administrator Gustav Kling now wants. According to him, the compensation of the debt may have led the group itself to take priority over other creditors. Therefore, it demands that the money be returned to the bankruptcy estate. Alternatively, the insolvency administrator requests that the refund be made through inventory, the duo’s Daisy Grace brand, or ultimately the Group’s e-commerce platform.
– We have not agreed on this issue and therefore I have filed a complaint with the district court. Now the matter is decided there, says Gustav Kling to the site Breakit.
Aftonbladet has contacted Hannah Widell regarding the bankruptcy administrator’s lawsuit.
– It is not something we want to comment on, we let the court get away with it, he says.
