The premiere of the Swedish biathlon in Idre has included two competitions on the women’s side.
Sprint yesterday and distance race today.
And in both competitions, Hanna Öberg has had the same number of victories.
In Sunday’s distance race, Öberg proved once again that she is the best biathlete in Sweden.
Out of 30 shots, Hanna Öberg scored 29 and then went to the finish line as a top winner.
– I am very satisfied and above all very satisfied with the work I do at the shooting range. It feels great, says Hanna Öberg, who thinks self-esteem is good right now.
– I have good confidence in myself and I feel safe, even if today are difficult conditions, I feel that I dare to take care of the shots and take it at the pace I need to be able to comply and it feels great to have it in my backpack before the season.
Where does self confidence come from?
– I have done a very good job the last few weeks here in Idre and I found very good feelings in the filming and, above all, the lying filming has worked very well. And when you have it, I can get on the shooting range and relax, and it’s a good thing for me. That’s when I perform the best in terms of shooting.
Tribute from the coach: “The Queen”
Shooting coach Jean Marc Chabloz is very impressed with Hanna Öberg’s performance.
– It was cruel this weekend. She really shows that she is the queen here. Not only in our team, but it shows that he has taken more steps internationally. Hanna is acting very convincing right now, says Chabloz.
Last season Hanna Öberg finished fourth overall in the World Cup, this season Jean Marc Chabloz thinks it may look very different.
– Hanna has all the ingredients to win the World Cup in general, I think so. It feels great to follow her this season.
“I never did so well”
The World Cup kicks off on November 27 in Konitolathi, Finland, a start to the season that Hanna Öberg is looking forward to.
– I never did a season premiere as good as this year, especially with filming and doing it this way at the beginning of the season feels super good and also feels like I’m in phase to maybe be able to pick up a percentage more track before the World Cup.
– It feels really fun and exciting, and I’m really looking forward to racing.
