Setback for league leader Rosengård.
Midfield star Hanna Bennison is injured and is said to be out for a month.
– My hope is that he will probably return after the national team break in September. And before that we played three games, Rosengård coach Jonas Eidevall tells Sydsvenskan.
Rosengård’s talented midfielder Hanna Bennison, 17, has been out of action for just over two weeks due to injury.
As it is the club’s policy not to comment in detail on injuries, it has not been clear when the 17-year-old can return to the pitch.
For Sydsvenskan, coach Jonas Eidevall now provides more information on the injury situation.
“He didn’t leave for the season”
– I hope we can communicate something when we know a little more, but the forecast is not that he will leave for the season, but in the near future. After the national team break, I’m hopeful, he says.
The current goal is for Bennison to return to the home game against Umeå on September 27.
The injury absence means not only that the midfielder will miss the Allsvenskan games against Eskilstuna, Djurgården and Örebro, but will also miss the European Championship qualifiers for the national team on September 17 and 22 (against Hungary and Iceland respectively).
Can shake on top
After Kopparbergs / Göteborg’s surprising loss yesterday against Kristianstad, Rosengård can make a little shake tonight at the Allsvenskan table when he travels to Eskilstuna.
– If you depend too much on positive messages, you have to do so with negative ones as well. So it is clear that it is a positive result for us, says Eidevall.
The team is currently on the same scoreboard before the match hanging from the Malmö team.
