Just before 12 o’clock, a fire broke out in a room in Brandstorp, in the municipality of Habo.
Initially, it was reported to be a workshop, but later the rescue service discovered that it was a bus garage.
– There were personnel on site before arriving who had managed to eject all buses and all vehicles. Now we are focusing on trying to save the building, ”says Christoffer Carmestedt, internal commander of the Jönköping Rescue Service.
Smoke divers have entered
The fire breaks out on the attic floor of the garage and the rescue service has entered with smoke divers.
– We have about 20 firefighters who are there and are working right now, then we have about 5-6 more on the way. In total, we have units from four municipalities, says Christoffer Carmestedt.
It is unknown what started the fire, but the workshop has been evacuated. Police and ambulance were also alerted.
The rescue service states that there is currently no risk of spread.
– There are some small buildings that shouldn’t be a hazard, says Christoffer Carmestedt.
No person was injured.
