Leif GW Persson, 76, recently received the coronavine vaccine from a private doctor.

But when asked if he accepted the offer, the answer is no:

– When I realized that it does not work like that, I quit, he tells Aftonbladet.

Retired police professor Leif GW Persson has openly criticized Sweden’s vaccination rate, which he believes is too slow.

– I’m considering moving to Israel, because apparently everyone has it, he previously told Aftonbladet.

“All good”

According to the statement, according to his own statement, a “private physician, licensed physician” offered him the coronavine vaccine.

– They can give me that right away and apparently it’s completely in order, GW explained in an interview with TV4’s Nyhetsmorgon.

He further explains that “it wasn’t that expensive” but that, of course, it cost money.

– I was very surprised.

SKR: impossible

But that it was a serious proposal was rejected by Emma Spak, head of the section of health and medical attention of the municipalities and regions of Sweden, who said that the offer of vaccines was “impossible”.

– There is no possibility because the vaccine is not for sale to health care providers. The only ones who have access are the regions.

When Aftonbladet arrives at GW on Friday, he says there have been no syringes.

“No doubt”

– They called me and sent me an email, but after I understood that it does not work like that, I left it. At first I thought it was like always when you go and get vaccinated, that there are private actors but you have to pay.

– But then I have understood that it does not apply in this case and that you cannot do it and then I did not care.

Could it be that you were cheated on?

– No, I don’t believe in that for a moment. There is no question that they have this vaccine, but obviously they shouldn’t. For me, it is a mystery, because this is not how it should work.

GW: You can die in the meantime

However, GW remains critical of the vaccine delay and believes it is in a good position.

– I have big heart problems and I am 76 years old. Still, it doesn’t seem like it ends up on the priority list, it says and continues:

-They seem to think that it is better that I die in the meantime, because at this rate they need 3 to 4 years before finishing.

But if someone called you back with the same offer, what would you answer then?

– Not blank. Of course I would say no.
