When is the hearing admitted?

Liverpool were able to celebrate their league gold in front of the empty stands this summer. Before the new season, the Premier League hopes to open its doors to a crowd of fans in early October.

A training match in August between Brighton and Chelsea was watched by 2,500 spectators, just under a tenth of the stadium’s capacity.

– It was a very encouraging test. We are working to have full stadiums as soon as possible, said Richard Masters, then CEO of the Premier League.

But plans have taken a real turn from the spread of the infection and the number of corona cases has risen sharply in England recently.

Tottenham hoped to attract viewers from September, but with the new restrictions in place, the British government is likely to decline.

Arsenal have 3,000 spectators against Sheffield United on October 3 as a goal. Premium members and season ticket holders at the top of the stands will be the first to be admitted.

But there is a risk that large or all grandstand sections will be empty for a long time.

The big buyers

Last season, there was a transfer ban for Chelsea. It has been retaken with a bang. The club has sold Álvaro Morata to Atlético de Madrid for 59 million pounds, but has also bought players for just over 200 million. These include Leipzig’s king of quick goals Timo Werner, Leicester’s national team defender Ben Chilwell, Leverkusen’s German midfielder Kai Havertz, and Ajax winger Hakim Ziyech. Thiago Silva from PSG comes free.

To date, the net transfer fee for the London club is 130 million pounds, approximately 1.5 billion SEK.

Ahead of last season, football finance expert Kieran Maguire calculated that Chelsea is the highest-spending team during the Premier League era. Chelsea had invested SEK 23 billion in player purchases since 1992.

Newcomer Leeds has also put on the pants to spend. Players were bought for 65.4 million pounds before the return of the Premier League.

Champions Liverpool, on the other hand, does not change a winning concept. The only signing is Kostas Tsimikas from Olympiakos for £ 11.8 million.

The phrase

“Next season we will not defend anything, we will attack.”

Successful Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp says the club is far from measured after the first league gold in 30 years. “We are halfway to something,” he continues.

Challengers

Liverpool were completely superior last season and the margin against second Manchester City was 18 points. But Liverpool lost some of their momentum over the summer, largely due to the fact that the league title was in principle ready as early as March before the crown crisis hit.

Manchester City, on the other hand, won most things and can ride in the good shape of the summer. Winger Leroy Sané’s loss to Bayern Munich is heavy, but City is likely to give Liverpool a real title fight. Among most gaming companies, City is actually the favorite for gold. Although they missed Messi.

The age of Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson who refuses to retire. He is entering his 45th year as a football coach and was the captain of the England national team from 2012-2016.

Where did it all begin? Well, at Örjan Dam in Halmstad, where he led HBK to Swedish Championship gold in both 1976 and 1979. On Swedish soil, there were also coaching jobs at Örebro SK, Oddevold and Malmö FF. At Crystal Palace, the task is, as usual, to save the team in the Premier League.

Mad-Chester?

In Manchester, rivals City and United, there are two of England’s greatest futures: 20-year-old midfielder Phil Foden at City and 18-year-old forward Mason Greenwood at United. Many City fans view Phil Foden – “Stockports Iniesta” – as a future club legend.

But this weekend they ended up in windy weather. The talented duo were sent home from the England national team during the Nations League game after violating strict UEFA rules regarding covid-19. According to newspaper reports, they must have met women at the hotel during their stay in Reykjavik, where England met Iceland.

Change of goalkeeper at United?

After nine seasons as first goalkeeper and 313 PL games for Manchester United, Spanish goalkeeper legend David de Gea is now being seriously challenged by 23-year-old Dean Henderson. Henderson, a product of United, is back at Old Trafford after a two-year loan at Sheffield United and has signed a five-year deal.

– The goal is to play soccer next season. “I am so close now and I will increase the pressure,” Henderson told The Guardian.

Rodríguez follows Ancelotti

Everton have bought James Rodríguez from Real Madrid. The 29-year-old was Colombia’s favorite at the 2014 World Cup when the nation reached the quarter-finals, and this is the third time Rodríguez has gone to a club run by Carlo Ancelotti. First it was Real Madrid, then Bayern Munich on loan and now Liverpool city, the second team.

Long awaited leeds

West Ham has been called “the second team of all”, a club that most people like. Perhaps that title is about to be taken over by Leeds United. It is true that the fans are perceived as loud and supportive, but the return of the old great club to the Premier League after 16 years is highly anticipated.

Historically, the rivalry is greatest with neighboring Manchester United, where the matches are dubbed the “War of the Roses”, with a nod to a historic 15th-century controversy between the counties of Yorkshire and Lancashire.

… and so there were only two:

Victor Nilsson Lindelöf, back, Manchester United.

Emil Krafth, back, Newcastle.
