Climate activist Greta Thunberg makes an exception in her line of not getting involved in party politics. In a tweet on Saturday, he urged Americans to vote for Democrat Joe Biden in the November 3 presidential election.

She justifies the exception by saying that elections in the United States go beyond ordinary politics, especially from a climate perspective, and writes: “Get organized and get everyone to vote for #Biden.”

The 17-year-old Swede unpacks with President Donald Trump, Biden’s opponent. When Time magazine named Thunberg the 2019 person of the year, Trump mocked her in a tweet:

“How ridiculous. Greta has to deal with her aggression problems, and then go see a good movie with a friend! Relax, Greta, relax!” wrote the Republican president, who during his tenure has focused on dismantling the climate action program of his predecessor Barack Obama.
