On Monday, amusement park giant Parks and Resorts reported that 110 full-time employees within the Group are being notified. New Lidköpings-Tidningen was the first to report.

The Group operates Skara Summerland, Kolmården, Gröna Lund and Furuvik.

– Today we announce at Parks and Resorts that 110 of our 400 permanent employees are notified. Today I can’t say how much applies to each park, but tomorrow we send it to the Swedish Employment Service and then it becomes clear which parks will be notified how many, says Annika Troselis, Head of Information for Parks and Resorts.

Does not hire temporary workers

The amusement park giant previously reported that the 3,350 seasonal employees typically cannot be hired.

– That’s not how it looks today. I bet we haven’t been able to employ 3,000 of the seasonal services. This really goes beyond the workers we normally hire in the summer. And that’s something we’ve come out with before. It is extremely heavy, of course, says Annika Troselis.

Janne Nilsson is CEO of Skara Sommarland. He says:

– This is extremely boring. Basically it is a prosperous company with good finances, but now it is not possible.

Skara Summerland’s goal is, despite warnings, to open National Day on June 6. Whether or not this is the case depends on what the restrictions and rules of the public meeting look like.

– Our goal is to open on June 6, says Janne Nilsson.
