US President Donald Trump has another golf course to play, but environmentalists criticize the facility, which is accused of destroying unique environments.

Scottish Aberdeenshire has given Trump International Golf Links the green light to build a second golf course north of Aberdeen.

Since the plans for the golf course were presented, various environmental organizations have lobbied the local government to say no to the expansion. Several neighbors have also criticized the plans, fearing that public spaces will disappear, as well as that the water supply and nearby properties will be negatively affected, according to the Evening Standard.

Aberdeenshire, however, decided to say yes, citing that the golf course is expected to provide significant social and economic benefits.

The first course in the area, which was completed in 2012, is accused of damaging the special moving dunes in the area, and the new 18 holes in the surrounding area are feared to further damage the area, according to nature conservation organizations.

“This decision gives the green light to the Trump organization to continue destroying and destroying Scotland’s natural heritage,” Bob Ward, policy director of the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and Environment, told the British newspaper The Guardian.

The golf course will be Trump’s third in Scotland and will be named MacLeod, after the mother of the US president, Mary Anne MacLeod.
