Örebro had only obtained four points in the last seven games; the situation meant that the club picked up three players on loan during the last day of the transfer window. And before the meeting with IFK Norrköping, Elfsborg acquisition Deniz Hümmet went straight to the starting eleven as a forward, Finnish national team forward Rasmus Karjalainen had to settle for a shorter break while Malmö FF’s Romain Gall has to wait for his ÖSK debut due to injury problems.
Hümmet had not been a starter at the Allsvenskan all season and Elfsborg coach Jimmy Thelin gave him some playing time. But on Sunday night, he made his ÖSK debut as a three-goal shooter and great hero.
It took less than half an hour, then four goals came in ten minutes.
Introduced for the first time Hümmet when he put the ball into the half-open goal after it was controlled by the hapless Norrköping defender Linus Wahlqvist.
– He touches a defender, then I put the ball in front of me and push it, says Hümmet during the break to Dplay.
But then Norrköping hit twice.
Rasmus Lauritsen tied for the first time when he pushed on a return over Oscar Jansson into Örebro’s goal. And a couple of minutes later, Norrköping took the lead when captain Christoffer Nyman sent a low shot behind Jansson. Forward Christoffer Nyman now has a divided league lead with his nine hits.
Then the fiery Deniz Hümmet delivered a beautiful dream goal as he turned around and pushed hard 2-2 on the cross, something unattainable for Isak Pettersson on Norrköping’s goal.
– The distant cross is always free, it gives me a good blow, he says.
After an hour Then ÖSK midfielder Nahir Besara made it 3-2 from the penalty spot. This after referee Fredrik Klitte thought the ball hit Eric Smith’s hand, but television footage showed the ball rather hit the stomach. Immediately, Norrköping was able to equalize again when Pontus Almqvist free rolled at 3-3.
In the final minutes, Deniz Hümmet had the last word when he clearly pushed the final result 4-3 and it was Örebro’s second new acquisition, Rasmus Karjalainen, who was responsible for the assist.
– Unbelievably nice to mark the end goal. I am very happy to be here and help Örebro win football matches, Hümmet tells Dplay.
