According to GP, who participated in the images that were released, the threat contains images of knives with text indicating that the students of the school will be killed at a specific time on Monday.
The school reported the incident to the police and a preliminary investigation was launched. It was on the advice of the police that the school made the decision to allow all students to stay at home and take care of distance learning.
– We will take all the security measures we can in that situation. We take this very seriously. We know that this type of threat or letter can be a way to get attention, but we believe that you should always take these kinds of things very seriously, says Birgitta Sandström Barac, ISGR to GP Executive Director and School Director.
According to Birgitta Sandström Barac, school staff will work at the site on Monday, where the school asked the police to be present. A security company must also have been contacted. It has not yet been decided whether the school will reopen Tuesday for students.
ISGR also has a school in Guldheden in Gothenburg, but that school will remain open as it has not received similar threats.
