Police were alerted about a shaky motorist.
Behind the wheel was a Swedish actor, who refused to be stopped.
In flight, he stopped with a policeman who was dragged behind the car for about ten meters.
The madness trip took place in the middle of the day in October 2018.
The case began with several people in the public alerting police that a motorist was hesitantly driving through central Gothenburg.
A police patrol found the car stopped in front of a synagogue. They decided to do a sobriety check.
When one of the policemen approached the vehicle, he discovered that the driver was a well-known actor from several high-profile Swedish television series.
“He made a strong acceleration”
– Right when we unfold, the window folds up and then pops out
him something. I don’t know what, but some sound of surprise, say the cops in questioning.
In the same second, the actor stepped on the gas.
– Then I grab the driver and try to stop the vehicle. I don’t succeed, but I am dragged relative to the driver driving the car by Stora Nygatan. I feel like I’m stuck in the car or being held by the driver and can’t let go, but being pulled involuntarily when the driver moves on.

Surveillance films show how the police are dragged away when the actor escapes from the police checkpoint.
The policeman was dragged after the car for about ten meters. It was released after he managed to pepper the actor, who then first “slowed temporarily and then accelerated sharply”, after which the police “broke loose and fell backwards.”
He injured his elbow, back and suffered abrasions in connection with the fall. The radio equipment was also destroyed when it fell to the ground.
After a long car chase, the actor’s journey ended in an industrial area in Hisingen.
Actor: I just want to get out of there.
The actor, who had previously been convicted of a crime, is now sentenced by the Gothenburg District Court for aggravated drunken driving and violence against an official.
He denies wrongdoing and claims he was driving sober but started drinking after police pulled him over.
The man explains the leak by saying that the day before the incident there had been a terrorist attack at a synagogue in Pittsburgh, United States. He then felt that he was being attacked when an unknown person, whom he did not understand was a policeman, approached him outside the Gothenburg synagogue.
– Something sounded and I perceived it as aggressive, it surprised me and instinctively gassed me to get me out of there.
– I think it’s going to hurt me. I just want to get out of there.
However, the district court considers his story to be an afterthought.
The punishment for the actor was three months in prison. You also have to pay 10,000 SEK to the police officer for damages.
“It can be considered pure luck that (the policeman) has not suffered more serious damage,” the court writes in the ruling.
