Former Östersund FK forward Saman Ghoddos, 27, left French second division Amiens for English second division Brentford on Monday. Ghoddos has signed a one-year loan agreement and after that the transfer can be permanent with a two-year contract with the English Championship club.
According to the French newspaper L’Equipe will also receive the five million euros from Amien, just over 52 million crowns from Brentford for the loan and the purchase, which seeks to give money to ÖFK.
L’Equipe stated, when Amiens bought Ghoddos from ÖFK, that ÖFK received a 20 per cent resale clause, which is generally deducted from the sum of profits for the sales team at a later stage. At the same time, the transfer fee, for Ghoddo’s move from ÖFK to Amiens, also landed 40 million SEK, so ÖFK could possibly include around 2.4 million SEK in the future for Monday’s transfer.
– We do not comment on the contracts we have with the players or the resale clauses. This time it’s the same, says Niclas Lidström, ÖFK press officer, to Fotbollskanalen.
However, money is said to be important for table nine at Allsvenskan.
ÖFK already has a strained economy and may also be forced to contribute money in the future regarding the “Ghoddos case” in Sports Arbitration Court, Cas. Previously, the club has come out, among other things, with that reserve ten million crowns, in your budget, for this.
The soccer channel was able to reveal last year that FIFA decided to suspend Ghoddos from the entire game for four months and that ÖFK would be banned from recruiting players for two transfer periods. At the same time, a fine was added to the Spanish Huesca of four million euros, just over 40 million crowns. Ghoddos is fined, but ÖFK may also be forced to pay part of it. The reason the case is with Cas is that Ghoddos broke an agreement with Huesca and signed for Amiens even though the existing agreements must have existed.
FIFA announced the first verdict, and then Ghoddos decided appeal against the amount of the fine, but not the suspension. ÖFK, in turn, chose to appeal the verdict on the fine and the transfer ban, which meant that the case passed to Cas.
