Ever since Fredrick Federley broke out in a relationship with a man who was convicted of aggravated rape of a child, the C-top has been on sick leave.
Now Fredrick Federley is leaving politics entirely, he tells Dalarnas Tidning.
– There is no other way forward, he says.
– Since my collapse and totally crashing against the wall, I have not been able to achieve peace. Everybody says you should rest, but you can’t defend yourself against this. It affects my family and my relatives. Then I realized that I am allowed to leave my political office.

Fredrick Federley says that the crimes for which the ex-partner has been convicted are “terrible crimes” and that he “feels physically ill just thinking about it”
Last night, the C-top decided to walk away from politics.

“Despite my sick leave, I cannot rest. Continuing speculation and news based on rumors and half-truths means that I cannot move forward with the healing process. “
What “rumors and half-truths” he refers to is unclear from the post.
“I know that I have made mistakes in judgment in the past year. But I want to make it clear that I have never, ever, endangered my daughter. I absolutely do not tolerate heinous, unforgivable and horrible crimes committed by someone close to me in the past. Those who have tried to paint a different picture really have no idea who I am. “
