The attack in Vetlanda is receiving international attention.
– Terrible news from Sweden, says Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen is one of the first world leaders to comment on the event in Vetlanda.
“Terrible news from Sweden. These are acts that are being investigated as terrorism and from which I strongly dissociate myself. We support all the Swedish people and the Swedish government. I send my warmest thoughts to Vetlanda to the victims and their families,” he added . she says in a statement.
Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba writes that there is never an excuse for violence and describes the attack as terrible, with the convictions also coming from Portugal.
Italian MP Sabrina De Carlo also wrote on Twitter that she is following developments with concern.
When it comes to international media, it is reported mainly in neighboring countries. The Norwegian VG, the Swedish Yle in Finland and the Danish Jyllands-Posten were among those who paid attention to the event.
Outside of the Nordic region, the attack is receiving less attention, although major news agencies have reported, as have German media such as Der Tagesspiegel, the British BBC and Spanish El País. The news also reached Australian ABC News, which sent a so-called push notification to its mobile users about the attack.
