Serious offenders have been arrested in the past
As recently as yesterday, the police confiscated weapons and drugs during a large search with patrol dogs in Märsta and Valsta.
The attack is part of the police operation that is currently being carried out against eight different criminal networks, where several members are considered to be some of the most violent people in Stockholm, something that Ekot reported in.
According to Ekot, around 100 people with network connections in Husby, Södertälje and Vårby, among others, are in detention.
– I cannot confirm if the arrests tonight have any connection to this effort, says Ola Österling.
Counter-reactions of criminals
According to the police, operations in Märsta have provoked reactions from criminals in the form of shootings, car fires, blue-light sabotage, vandalism and attempted arson.
