– It is very sensitive when people are killed in our arrests and then must be investigated by prosecutors, so we have come to the conclusion that we should not reveal any more information. Out of respect for the deceased, relatives and with a view to the investigation, we hand over to the press service of the Special Prosecutor’s Office, says Thomas Agnevik, press spokesman for the Eastern Police Region.
TT: Did you supervise the man during the night?
– This is something that the prosecutor will investigate and that I cannot elaborate, says Thomas Agnevik.
This morning, prosecutors from the special prosecutor’s office launched a preliminary misconduct investigation. The current arrest has been blocked following a decision by the same prosecutor and forensic technicians have conducted a forensic investigation during the morning.
The man’s relatives have been notified.
