On Thursday, the woman in her 40s was arrested in Vänersborg District Court for probable cause on suspicion of murdering a man in his 30s who was her colleague. She denies any wrongdoing.

Prior to the hearings, which were held in the Uddevalla District Court for lack of premises, the prosecutor had added two charges, robbery and fraud.

She was also arrested on these charges for probable cause.

– These three criminal suspicions go together. She is suspected of taking items from the home in connection with the murder. Thus, there is also another plaintiff and it is the user who lives there, says Chief Prosecutor Danel Edsbagge.

He claims that “a lot of traces” have been obtained and that much of this will be sent for analysis.

The woman worked as a personal assistant in Trollhättan, but had previously been politically active in another western Swedish municipality.

In the 2018 elections he ran for the municipal council of the Social Democrats. He then had party assignments on a municipal committee as a replacement. The woman was also a deputy on the board of a municipal company.

He left both assignments this year.

Found dead in users

It was last Friday that a personal assistant made a grisly discovery at work at a patient’s home.

The colleague who was to replace the assistant was dead in the Trollhättan apartment.

Another colleague was also at the home, a man in his 55s who was arrested on suspicion of murder. He was later released but remains a suspect.

The woman in her 40s, a partner of the other attendees, was arrested Sunday and arrested on probable cause on suspicion of murder.

– It is due to circumstances that work together that she is suspected for probable cause, explained Daniel Edsbagge.

The woman has previously been convicted of various crimes, including alcohol smuggling, robbery, and bodily harm.

Relative: “It’s so horrible”

The user who was at home when the murder occurred has been unable to provide information about the incident due to his disability. Edsbagge is careful to point out that the user is not involved in the incident in any way.

GT has spoken with a family member of the user who is saddened by what happened:

– There’s nothing I can say. It is not possible at this stage. It’s so scary. We get the support we need, but it doesn’t help much. I’m waiting for them to tell me what happened.

The forensic investigation of the house is not complete, says Daniel Edsbagge:

– The house is still cordoned off. It will be a long investigation. It will be several months before this is completed.

GT seeks representatives of the Social Democrats in the municipality where the woman previously represented the party.
