Former Fox Reporter: Here you lose the perspective of the Swedish media

Fox News is said to be Donald Trump’s favorite channel. And several of the channel’s hosts, including Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity, have lent their support to the president.

But according to Maria Karlsson, who has worked at Fox News for nearly 20 years, there is a difference between news shows like “Tucker Carlson Tonight” and “Fox and Friends” and the news department. Fox News was the first media company to announce that Joe Biden won the state of Arizona, something said to have created a conflict between Donald Trump and Fox owner Rupert Murdoch.

– It really shows that the news department itself, those responsible for pure journalism, are not polarized in the same way, says Maria Karlsson.

“Latinos are not a homogeneous group”

He also answers questions about perspectives he thinks the Swedish media missed, such as portraying the country’s Latin American voters.

– You have to remember that there are many poor people in the United States. They can vote with their wallet because they have no other choice. I think you have to think about that. And I think that both the United States and Sweden overlooked that Latinos are not a homogeneous group.
