Tonight they found a man with gunshot wounds in Skogås.

Police say he has life-threatening injuries.

– I heard three shots and then I saw a black car leave, a witness tells Aftonbladet.

Several people alerted the police tonight after hearing gunshots in Skogås.

– We received the alarm at 22.25, says Ola Österling in the Stockholm region police.

Life-threatening injuries

At the scene, right next to a school, the police found a man wounded by a gunshot.

– Initially, the injured person is considered to have life-threatening injuries. We question witnesses who have made observations at the crime scene, says Ola Österling.

The crime scene is suspected to be very close to the scene. According to a witness, three shots were fired.

– First it was a hit and then two more in quick succession, says the witness.

Police have cordoned off a large area. The barriers span between the school, a playground, and a sports hall.

Looking in trash cans

At 01 o’clock it was still a big push. Police have cordoned off another area, a few hundred meters from where the man who was shot was found.

According to the Aftonbladet photographer at the scene, there are around seven police cars at the scene and police are searching trash containers and knocking on doors in surrounding residential buildings.

Police hope that the operation in Skogås will continue throughout the night.

– It will continue in different degrees, we will see what gives. On the one hand we are trying to find witnesses, and on the other hand, a technical investigation is being carried out that will take time, says the policeman on duty.
