KALMAR. Per Bohman’s five points from Kalmar FF – Djurgården at Guldfågeln Arena.

1. Who will miss Kalmar FF?

He had completely ruled out Kalmar FF. He beat me to the idea of a completely Swedish 2021 season without Småland representation. There was nothing I regretted. KFF has been dragged down the dune in recent years, caught up in mediocre irrelevance. Irrational coach picks, parodic attack recruits, and a certainly commendable youth effort, but one that still yields meager results. The deterioration of the table positions is only a logical consequence of an association without direction. Who outside the city limits will miss Kalmar FF if he leaves?

Then Kalmar suddenly crossed against Falkenberg and Sirius and followed with a strong victory against Örebro.

Had he calculated KFF too early?

After 90 minutes to Djurgården I can say:

N / A.

2. Enough with half speed, Djurgården

Jacob Une Larsson released the ball and Nicklas Bärkroth spread it. Emmanuel Banda and Curtis Edwards allowed themselves to play lyre lazily in the gap to pressure the local players.

For a few minutes they wondered about Kalmar FF maybe fire more than Djurgården. Nanne Bergstrand’s slightly skewed 4-4-2 formation, full of midfielders and outfielders, was perhaps good enough to upset the Stockholmers?

It quickly turned out to be this year’s error in judgment. That Kalmar looked a bit interesting was just a pipe dream, because once Djurgården started playing at half speed, the red dress had absolutely nothing to object to.

Crusher – but he still sounded depressed

Djurgården thus led 3-0 at halftime without behaving well. The home team had a lot of ball, but when Blåränderna switched, Kalmar FF looked like a lot of fans.

At ten minutes, Curtis Edwards scored a volley from York Rafael to make it 1-0.

After twenty minutes, Nicklas Bärkroth quickly combined forward with Kalle Holmberg. The latter’s shot held the top scorer when he placed the ball in the far cross.

In the 30th minute, Haris Radetinac came close to leveling the score with a dangerous shot from the center of the area that went over the crossbar, but Bärkroth managed a spectacular save. Magnus Eriksson sent the return on his own a rather lousy punishment and sounded a bit depressed during the halftime interview.

“It feels surreal that we are leading 3-0,” Eriksson said, his voice muffled.
He was right that the team didn’t play very well. Luckily for Djurgården, no opponent needs to play particularly well to beat Kalmar FF.

4. A bloody concern, KFF

It is quite possible that Helsingborg, Falkenberg and Kalmar together will not score more than a few points during the Allsvenskan final. So it wasn’t a disaster that KFF lost to Djurgården, but rather a bloody concern that they would concede so many goals.

Right now, Kalmar has the worst goal difference of the last team, which means that the one-point lead against Falkenberg on the table really hangs by a fragile thread. I think the Smålanders will be beaten in their remaining matches against AIK and Häcken, which means that Falkenberg only needs one pitiful cross in the key match against HIF to send Kalmar to the Superettan.

5. Congratulations to Haris

It is not flirtatious nor is it blessed with an aesthetic movement pattern. Haris Radetinac has always looked a bit stiff and rarely dribbles past an opponent in a one-on-one duel. Not necessary when instead you can push and run past defenders. Radetinac plays easily but always effectively and has now done so in around 300 elite matches.

In Åtvidaberg he was sensational in the shadows, in Mjällby clearly underrated and in Djurgården the player who used to keep the highest minimum level. It has been a low key but very enjoyable Allsvenskan player’s career.

During a rocky 2020, the 35-year-old has been a rock to really trust in Djurgården. Radetinac has provided assists, contributed strongly in the race and against Kalmar FF he again proved that the right-back position would be an excellent position for him in 2021.

Congratulations to Haris.
