After 1-4 in the debut against Björklöven, Timrå has clinched two consecutive home wins.
Also by margin.
First 7-1 against Karlskoga and 4-1 against Västerås on Monday night.
Jonathan Dahlén, was behind most of the offensive path against VIK.
Discontinued in the third period
It only took 47 seconds to give Timrå the lead, and then it was barely five minutes before Dahlén made it 2-0. Both goals were assisted by new NHL loan teammate Isaac Lundeström.
Just two minutes before the second period break, he also completed his hat trick when he made it 3-0.
There were no more points for Dahlén. In the final period, he came out after a blow to the head following an incident with Västerås player Lukas Zetterberg.
Dahlén threw his helmet to the ground before exiting the replacement booth and out into the locker room.
Damn after the explosion
But after the game, he was able to leave a reassuring message for Sundsvalls Tidning:
– I feel good, I think. There were a few medical reasons why I quit, as I had already had two concussions before. When we are 3-0, it’s just as good to feel. Christian (Johansson, team doctor) wanted me to quit, so I hooked him. It was a precautionary measure, Dahlén tells ST and continues:
– If you have had two concussions before, you will be angry. Stupid things are happening. It is dangerous. Really dangerous. Of course, you feel frustrated and a little scared at the same time.
