Two out of every five apartments in a row of row houses are on fire in Vällingby.

– There is a spread threat, says a management operator at the Greater Stockholm rescue service.

The Stockholm rescue service was initially on the scene with three stations to fight the fire that broke out shortly before 4 pm.

Initially, it burned in a basement and that fire would be extinguished.

Shortly after, the fire was lit again and at 4.30pm it burned to the ground in the longhouse:

– There is a fully developed fire in two out of five apartments and threats of spreading, says a management operator in Räddningscentralen Mitt.

A witness says there is a strong development of smoke in the area.

– – It lit flames and burned to the brim.

At 5:20 p.m., 40 rescue workers worked to limit the spread.

– We try to establish a border line so that the fire does not spread further in the long term, says Göran Norman in the Greater Stockholm fire service.

He says they will stay several more hours to fight the fire.

All the houses along it must be evacuated and there is no information about injured people.

There is a risk of fire spreading.
