Burning with open flames in a building in an industrial area in Ryda, Borås. The alarm went off at 03:30 on Wednesday morning. There is a strong development of smoke at the site.
– We are doing an external extinguishing, it burns quite well in an office part of the building, but we are working to make sure it does not spread further into industrial property, says Henrik Andersson, head of standby rescue at Södra Älvsborgs Räddningstjänstförbund.
According to Andersson, there is no risk of it spreading to other buildings, however, they want to make sure the flames do not spread further on the property, which is approximately 120 meters long and 120 meters wide. There are five stations at the site with about 30 firefighters and they will continue extinguishing work through the morning, according to Andersson. No person was injured in the fire.
The fire must have started in a car next to the property.
