Several bullet holes in the facade, the front door and across several balconies on one of the farms in the middle of Husby bear witness to where a young man in his 20s was shot and killed Thursday afternoon.
The gang-related murder occurred in front of the eyes of children and adults moving about in the residential area.
– My little brother saw everything that happened yesterday. He came home and told me that someone had been shot, says a 12-year-old boy when SVT is on site and filming.
Weapons and drugs in circulation
Stockholm City Council visited Husby on Friday to speak with some of the mothers who live in the area.
– They say that there are too many weapons in circulation, that here there is an open drug sale and that there are young and impulsive men who do not hesitate to murder someone, says Anna König Jerlmyr (M).
National meeting required
Very few criminals receive long prison sentences, according to the mothers with whom the Treasury Council spoke. Instead, gang crime is growing and retaliation is increasingly wary.
– We cannot accept all deadly violence. It should not be normalized. That is why I now demand a national meeting against gang crime, says Anna König Jerlmyr.
