Frölunda got off to a dreamy start to Linköping when Filip Johansson, already after a minute and a half, thundered it 1-0 from his back position.
But the LHC came back and before the first period ended they had drawn 1-1 through Markus Ljungh.
It was also the guests who would take the lead in the second period when Simon Lundmark stayed ahead and scored his second goal of the season.
Frölunda turned and won
But Frölunda responded immediately when Max Friberg bombed in a direct shot just a minute after the LHC’s first goal.
The hockey swing continued even into the third period, when Linköping took the lead again via loan to forward Villiam Haag.
But Frölunda did not want to give up, but would get all three points.
Jan Mursak drew 3-3 in powerplay, and in the final minutes Filip Johansson made it 4-3, which was decisive in the match.
– You can enjoy while it lasts. It’s nice when the pucks come in, says the hero about his two goals.
The ice toss: “Gain more confidence in yourself”
The goals were Filip Johansson’s second and third this season.
And in the last game against Örebro, he played up to two goals ahead. The shape curve points up for the 20-year-old.
– It is clear that you get more confidence in yourself. I think I’ve gotten involved quite offensively, but the latter has been lacking. The shots were a shame and I should dare a little more. You can come with confidence in yourself. Good to break the ice here, he says.
Otherwise, Johansson has sometimes had limited playing time at Frölunda this year.
Has contact with the NHL team
But now, with players like Stefan Elliott and Mattias Norlinder missing, while Theodor Lennström has gone to the Edmonton Oilers, he has had to play a lot more.
– I think I speak on behalf of every hockey player when I say you want to play as much as you want. We have a great butt, and if we have a full team, it will be difficult for venues. There will be less ice age here and there. But I think that’s only positive, that we have a lot of good tracks. So it’s fun for you to play more, as I have done in the last two games.
The 20-year-old is selected by the Minnesota Wild in the NHL, and the hope is to eventually sign a contract in the best league in the world.
– We talk a little from time to time, especially how it goes and how I feel. There they are more focused on the season that starts now, so there hasn’t been much contact lately.
