Opinion on Swedish membership in NATO is now divided into three equal parts, the latest Dagens Nyheter / Ipsos poll shows.
35 percent say no to the question that they think Sweden should apply for membership, while 33 percent say yes. 32 percent are unsure.
The proportion of opponents of NATO membership decreased by 3 percentage points and the proportion of positives increased by the same measure compared to the previous survey, which was conducted just over a year ago.
– This is the third consecutive poll in which the proportion of people who oppose our applying for NATO membership is declining. This means that, for the first time since we started measuring, it weighs evenly between supporters and opponents of NATO membership, says Nicklas Källebring. Ipsos opinion analyst, to DN.
The survey, which was conducted during the first half of December last year, involved 1,226 people. The question asked was: “Do you think Sweden should apply to join NATO or do you not?”
