Earlier this year, the FBI managed to locate the militia group, which is accused of plotting to rob the Michigan convention building and kidnap Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, it reports. BBC. “Several members of the group spoke of assassinating ‘tyrants’ or kidnapping an acting governor,” according to the court document obtained by the BBC.
Democrat Gretchen Whitmer has come under fire for the tough crown restrictions she has imposed on the state. Far-right groups, which have demanded that the restrictions be lifted, have organized, among other things, protests in front of the Congress building.
