Färjestad lost 3-1 to 3-3 against Skellefteå, but took the extra points.
Víctor Ejdsell decided the penalty.
– We should be happy for two points, a victory is a victory, said the hero of the match.
Skellefteå had won three matches in a row against Färjestad in SHL ice hockey.
There was no room.
Västerbotten played the best ice hockey in the second match of this season and won 1-3 to 3-3, but failed to score a penalty when it was decided.
Victor Ejdsell, on the other hand, organized an extra point for Färjestad.
– I try to take advantage of the length of the club and get a good angle. It worked well, Ejdsell told C More.
However, he was not happy with the game.
– It is a miracle that we passed the first period in management. Then we walk away but lose in the third. That’s not enough, he said.
New target blast
Jacob Peterson scored two goals in 31 seconds in the winning match against Brynäs in the last one.
Against Skellefteå, he started a new explosion of goals when he made it 2-0 for Färjestad. Peterson accelerated from his own zone and found the right angle that put a question mark over the actions of Skellefteå goalkeeper Arvid Söderblom.
– I just try to put it on the target and it goes in. It’s good that the goals come, but the important thing is that we lead, Peterson told C More.
Rickard Hugg dropped to 1-2, but Jacob Nilsson restored the home team’s two-goal margin when he was assisted by Skellefteå’s Linus Lindström and scored it 3-1.
It was three goals in 90 seconds that gave Färjestad a much-needed lead in the third period.
Because even though it was the home team that was happiest with the score, it was Skellefteå who controlled and put on the ice.
– We put the disc on the sheet and move the disc quickly. We will continue chewing and not looking at the board, Andreas Wingerli told C More.
