Brexit leader Nigel Farage has announced his resignation as leader of the UK Reform Party.
The party was previously called the Brexit Party and was created as part of the campaign to get Britain to leave the EU. The Farage phalanx was seen as advocating so-called hard Brexit.
The party was partially reorganized and changed its name to address issues related to the crown pandemic, among other things. The party said it wanted to protect vulnerable groups, while the goal for the rest of the population was to achieve herd immunity.
Farage has previously been the party leader in the hostile party to the EU Ukip and, as such, managed to participate in the promotion of the referendum on the accession to the EU in 2016.
“In the end (by Brexit) Northern Ireland has been cut off from the rest (by the UK), and our fishermen are being mistreated, but we went out and will never return,” Farage wrote in a statement.
He explains his departure by saying that he can do more to change public opinion through the media and social platforms.
